Seeking compliance of last month’s National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) order, a Jet Airways staff union has sent a legal notice to the erstwhile resolution professional stating that no sale of airline assets should be carried out before the employees’ statutory dues are cleared.

The NCLAT in its October 21 order said that the Jalan-Kalrock consortium should clear the unpaid gratuity and provident fund dues of the eligible employees and workmen. The erstwhile resolution professional was directed to compute the payments to be made to workmen and employees within one month.

“The 30-day time-period lapsed on November 21. In the legal notice, we asked the RP to furnish the particulars of the said amounts computed by him as a written response to our legal notice,” said former senior VP, Jet Airways, Dr Narayan Hariharan,
